SSF2 v0.9 is out.

The fangame with which Crusade is known to have a friendly rivalry - yes, that one - released their latest demo build following an incredibly successful showcase at APEX 2013.

I know some of you may have a biased hatred towards everything the McLeodGaming team works hard to produce (you know who you are), but y'all should check it out regardless. It's got Bomberman. I know we've got Bomberman as well, but it's pretty foolish to dismiss the opportunity to play as Bomberman.

Wow, they only just added Bomberman? I was working on him before I left the Dev's, they really are slow...

They've slightly changed his style though (Mainly just adding that thing around his neck) and to my knowledge none of my animations survived. Ah well...

I had the honor of being the first non-SSF2 dev to play Bomberman (I was there as soon as they set up), and I know from experience that he's miles better than our bomberman in terms of a moveset XD

give the new SSF2 a go for sure, you'll be glad you did.

From what I saw, they have done a very good job in regards to their latest demo.

But I will have to play it first.

- Bomberman is meh.
- Zelda doesn't have sweetspot Bair and Fair? WTF!
- Balancing is, as always, poor.
- Game is very meh in a competitive aspect (ledge options are terrible, teching is slow, double tap for everything is bad for platform drops and dashdancing and controller use, poor balance, multi hit attacks never connect properly, powershielding is way too easy, etc.)

That said, the demo is still really solid, and is probably great in a casual setting. Most will probably enjoy it very much and there's plenty of new content and game improvements. New options are very in-depth. Give it a try. For me, I'll stick to Crusade Apex, it's worlds better IMO.

All the vets play as you'd expect

I haven't played around with their Bomberman a whole lot, though I need to try and stop trying to play him like Crusade's Bomberman

Includes new stuff like events

Haven't checked out much else

My computer rejected the download and has it in a zip file that I can't open.

Well, the demo is now public. However, there was some sort of issue with the Smash Ball, so it's temporarily disabled.

Event 10 is such a pain.

No, it's a .zip. You need to download a program for unzip, there are plenty of free ones like Jzip, Winrar and 7zip.

Not all of them, Samus can't missile camp and I'm positive Meta Knight has little to none of his Brawl techs.

My computer is a spoon. SSF2 always slows down on it. :L

I can't download patches because my computer will treat them as pages on internet explorer.

Downloaded it, and it is stuck at 5% loading constantly. No response, no matter how many times I redownload it.
