| Dunno, just thought it would make an interesting option. It'll be very easy to code and take up almost no space.
This isn't just because of that other post someone else about shields, I always had this idea in the back of my head.
As a balancer, it'd be interesting to see how it affects the approach and spacing metagames of various characters without one of the most potent defensive options in the game.
And as a normal player it'll be fun in its own right.
Think of it as not "why?" but "why not?". |

| I see no real need for it, but I won't be upset if it gets in either. |

| As Dry put it, why not?
This would eliminate dodging of any kind as well right?
This also fits in well with a suggestion i planned on making; no air dodge. Shielding still allowed. It's basically SSB64 mode. |

| the option of getting rid of all defensive options.
that would make for some decently interesting matches, I'd think. People would have to change strategies entirely possibly.
That also means only method of dodging would be running away. lol |

It's not meant to be competitive. It's also an option, so there's no reason not to have it. |

| But do you think the game will be fun for anyone if they can't even get to their opponent simply because they have a projectile? Or how about repeatedly using a projectile knowing you can literally win a match just by doing that and nothing else? I think the game would be extremely boring under those circumstances.
By the way if it wasn't apparent by now I've changed my vote from indifferent to no. |

| Honestly though, who'd seriously play it besides that one guy who complained about the CPU's shielding a lot? |

| It could be something to turn on when you're bored. Say while playing FFAs people could decide to switch it on for one match or something.
Besides, what do we lose from adding it? The GM space of exactly one variable? |

| But then we're just adding stuff for the sake of adding it. We need to make sure we have quality content in the game, and so far the forums only focus on characters and stages in that regard. We shouldn't add modes just because we can imo. |

| Let's just every mode everyone comes up with, and not even vote. Apparently it's OK as long as it's easily coded. |

Hello? There's an argument in that little white box up there. |

| The vote's quite close, so I'll leave it on for a long time to see where it goes.
That said the devs can easily veto this if they want. So nothing's guaranteed. |
