| I think we should do it randomly like Melee did, except that always ended with a battle against 25 G&Ws. |

Hes going by when the main representative debuted.. Which doesn't work at all in Melee & Brawl that way because the order gets completely random and ended off with 25 G&W battles. |

| If anyone's concerned about the fact that 42 battles might be a little bit much, SK, Jak and a few others came up with a brilliant save system idea.
It's basically like the save system on most Fire Emblem titles, or the save system in the Pokemon Battle Tower. You can save in the middle of the challenge, at the All-Star Rest Station (the place with the hearts). However, this save is only registered if you quit while at that same rest station you saved at. If you start the next battle, the save is automatically deleted.
So when you save and quit while at the Rest Station, you can come back to it later. This means that if something comes up or you're bored after 38 matches or something, you can save where you are and come back to it later. However, if you carry on to the next battle after you saved, then the next time you quit you won't be able to return to where you saved. This stops you from resetting each battle to get good points or not lose a stock. |

| I wanted to do a save feature like that too. I also had a few more ideas:
-Trivia questions: Every couple of matches, you would be asked a video game trivia question with four possible answers. Getting it right adds to your score, while getting it wrong does nothing. The higher the difficulty, the harder the questions get (I once wrote these questions, but I lost them- I remember most of them though).
-Metal Mario and Dark Link: They need to be there at the end.
-Rainbow Master Hand: The Final Boss should be a super-powered form of Master Hand. This time, he looks rainbow (like Bowser at the end of Super Mario 64). All of his moves are a lot more intense, such as being a machine gun rather than a pistol or doing more crazy attacks after his normal moves. It would be a very fun fight. |

| Not liking the trivia part but the metal Mario/ dark link and master hand parts sounds alright. |

| Meh to the trivia part, but I love the MM/DL and Rainbow MH parts.
I also love that save feature idea. |

| The trivia thing seems a bit random for this mode, but I would love to see it as it's own minigame. RMH and MM/DL are great ideas too. |

I dated them based on the when the series debuted, not the character itself. |

| Like the saving system idea also. I was thinking of 3 things. First I think more than 3 heart containers will be needed this time. I would say 6. Second, although it may sound fun and interesting to have the possibility of fighting Metal Mario and Dark Link I don't think it should happen because this is "all-star". I mean, this mode is only for fighting the playable characters of the game. In any case Metal Mario and Dark Link should appear in boss battles. Third (optional), instead of adding more heart containers in all-star I was thinking of another alternative. To keep having 3 heart containers as always but to also be able to do certain events to gain prizes such as extra heart containers, maxim tomatoes or food. The way of getting a chance to participate in this events could be dependent of your performance in a battle or maybe your score. And the events could be to fight 25 of a certain character, a giant character, an invisible character, etc. Depending on how well you do on the event battle you are a awarded a heart container, maxim tomato or food. Also winning the event battle against a certain character doesn't mean that you will not fight him again during "all-star" and losing the event battle doesn't get you a game over. Treat it as a bonus level.
Now an example just to clear off my idea.
Lets say that depending of the score you reach during all-star, events are activated and the characters order in all-star is determined by the year they debuted. Now lets say that event battles are awarded when you reach 500 thousand, 1 million and 2 million points during all-star. Now, you have reached 500 thousand points in your 8th battle, meaning that you just cleared the Dragon Ball series and now you are up against the Ice Climbers (following Smashking order). Then you earn the option to participate in an event to get a recovery item whenever you want. Let say you decided to go on until your 14th battle against Samus and Ridley and use the event in the Metroid series. Now the game will choose ONE of the characters from the Metroid series and its alteration. (giant, multi, invisible, etc) Lets say you won without taking damage and very fast, so you are awarded with an extra heart container. You return to the rest station and now you still have to face Samus and Ridley as a normal match to advance in all-star and so on. What do you think? |

| Rainbow Master Hand would be better off as a very hard boss, or even as an unlockable boss. The Metal Mario / Dark Link idea is cool and all, but it wouldn't make sense for All-Star Mode.
I am, however, all for the saving function. |

Your idea sound alot like kirby although I'm not really against something like this I feel it fits the very easy and easy levels rather than the normal through Intense. This idea alone could be abused by intermediate to advance players thus making all star not challenging in anyway..

Sorry I meant to say "not really against it". I think we could do your idea for the beginner players (very easy and easy) because the all star road can be made much much easier for them.. the number of hearts idea is not a bad idea either

| If its not hard to code I suppose it could work for easy and very easy. Wanted something new for all-star but I think you are right about making it less challenging. And that's the last thing I would want. |

| Y'know, since this is apparently the All Star Thread for some reason, I think we should create our own All Star Mode, with hotcakes and bitches and... you know what, screw those two features, lets use all three official All Star Mode Interpetations and make our own!
All Star Rush (Debuted in Super Smash Bros. Melee - 2001) * No structure, no guidence, no limits! Just fight your way through all the characters and hope to christ that you survive.
All Star Historia (Debuted in Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 2008) * Walk through each of the fabled franchises featured in Smash, one after another, 40+ in all!
All Star Meet-n-Greet (Debuted in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS - 2014) * Meet the Myriad Characters of Smash, one after another and make absolutely sure to send em all sailing, why don't ya?
All Star Bash (Debuted in Super Smash Bros. Crusade - 2015?) * Fight off the Smashers in the order of the Games in which they've appeared, N64, Melee, Flash, Brawl, Sm4sh, Flash 2 and right here!
We can even throw in a reverse mode since the Wii U version did it to what we're calling the Meet-n-Greet Mode. |
