The Doctor is in! This is using edited sprites from Gregarlink10, so obviously give credit to him too.

I don't think it's been decided yet, I personally want the specials changed, but I see no problems with the other attacks.

My Suggestion:
Standard Special: Pill Throw (Melee)
Side Special: Virus Throw
Up Special: (I have no idea)
Down Special: ^
Side Smash: Thunder Hand (Melee)
Down Smash: Injection
Up Smash: (see up special)

I was thinking abot having Injection for the Down Special actually, causing the foe to become slower.

Up Special should be Flip, (Basically him getting launched off a large megavitamin)
Final Smash HAS to be The Intensity Slider.

Not to sure about those, I don't really like Up Special and for the FS I was thinking more along the lines of Dr. Mario patching himself up, completely healing himself.


Also, possible Down Special counter, Regular Examination.

It would be a lot more easier to post a sprite sheet progress so that it be easier to work with. Very Happy

Also, an idea for his Side Smash. It would be similar to Mario's, but Dr. Mario thrust his stephiscope. The higher the damage the better chances the stephiscope will freeze the opponent, but ofcourse with knockback

I don't see why, anything Dr. Mario can do Mario can do too. I know Dr. Mario was a little higher on the Tier list in SSBM but with different balancers Mario has just as much a chance of being better than him.

I don't think Melee moveset is the best option. Melee took the laziest route possible with the Doctor

While I don't want to start an argument, does that mean that Paper Mario should fight just like Mario as well, because he is Mario?

I vote for middle ground, the semi-clone route.
Give him some unique moves while keeping majority of Melee.

He needs different specials than regular Mario, and his physical attacks should have different properties as well.

Maybe we should just give the doc new moves to enhance his playstyle from Melee. Or, we can go the Evil Ryu route.

Dr Mario is Mario with another outfit. Paper mario is a mario from a different universe.

ANd yeah, i can deal with that, as long as he conserves the Cape and A Attacks
