| *sigh* This is something that we want when we fight our friends or the CPU... A VERY TOUGH MATCH!!! Friends are strong, but the CPUs... there so ******* stupid 'n easy! Most of the time, they often: -Run 'n taunt. -Stand and do nothing. -Kill themselves. -And a WHOLE bunch of things that I don't know yet! It's so disgraceful, right?! Well, hopefully they'll patch it on v0.9, because I can't ******* stand it! Should the CPUs become strong as us SSB players? And what other stupid **** were the CPU doing while YOU were encountering one? I wanna hear it from you. |

| The AI is somewhat tough sometimes but they need to be a bit better, I'll vote yes |

| The AI will be made better eventually. At least they are more tollarable than the SSF2 AI. |

| The CPUs on level 10 are okay, but I agree that they need a little improving.
But, they're better than SSF2's AI, so I'm okay with the CPUs on level 10. |

| I can bairly beat a level 8 AI so no.
Though on SSF2 I can Combo Level 9s Easily. it needs better AIs |

while the AI has its major faults, it's not nearly as awful as you're describing it to be |

| The AI acts retarded sometimes, but on lvl 10, they actually put up a good fight. Maybe it's the earlier levels, but I haven't seen the AI act as stupid as you claim to be. |

| AI should always be improving through the versions if possible. If it's too challenging for you at lv. 10 by v1.0, play on a lower setting until you can handle lv.10.
High lvl AI's need to start incorporating some character specific playstyles in addition to other improvements, there's no reason a Megaman should be playing a rushdown style
The AI are significantly better than what the OP says, all of that stuff happens in SSF2 but none of it happens in Crusade (at least not in any consistent way)
Finally, that poll question makes no sense. Firstly, this has nothing to do with strength, it's intelligence. Secondly, who do you mean by "us"? Skill level is likely to vary greatly from player to player within the forum. If you mean as good as the best players, not likely to be achievable by AI coding, although I would love it if the CPU at lvl 10 were even better than the top players |

| Playing Crusade today, I noticed 3 AI issues that relate to Final Smashes, which I'll explain via examples:
-Toon Link uses his FS on Lucario. Kirby decides to be a dumbass and walk into it. -Upon respawning, Lucario decides to waste his FS on Ness, who had also respawned. -Fox, Yoshi, Snake, and characters will similar FSes feel that they must stand right next to someone in order to use their FS, even though they can use it anywhere and it can still be effective.
Also, a few stage-related issues:
-In Cutman's Arena, they often head right into the spikes. -In Mushroom Kingdom 1, whenever you above or below them on the .row of blocks, they just run back and forth -In Good Egg, Asteroid Field, Vegetable Valley, and Mute City, sometimes when they fall off the ledges, they end up under the stage when attempting to recover. |

| This seems like the sort of thing that should be in bug reports.
In an ideal world we'd have perfect AI, we'd have every video game character ever playable without any bugs or infinite combos. We'd also have every game location, 100 different modes, 10000 items and the ability to jump through the screen and fight yourself.
The coders are working hard on it, telling them to just work harder isn't going to help. |

while the AI has its major faults, it's not nearly as awful as you're describing it to be Agreed The difficulty level only changes the amount of shielding the CPU does as how i see it. They still charge at you aggressively Other than that, even on level 4: They're more advanced than the AI on SSF2 |

| Way more, we shouldn't even be comparing our AI with SSF2. Their AI is literally laughably bad, and just got worse in the newest patch they released. |

| I actually thought the CPUs were too hard. I think the CPUs shouldn't be so hard on a level as low as 3 (they're not THAT hard, but they're definitely difficult for level 3). Either way, I think the AI should be smarter-that means both easy AI and hard AI.
Also, the actions this guy described in the first post only happen to me when I'm fighting level 1 CPUs, and rarely level 2 (except for the DAMN taunting). |

| Even at level 10, CPUs have some problems. Recovery's probably the worst thing; no matter what situation, CPUs always use the same strategy to recover, which means you have Meta Knight using Shuttle Loop a Drill-Rush's distance below the stage, or Sonic Spring Jumping from far away when a Spin Dash would be better in every way. I think there can be a system that changes the recovery pattern depending on where they are off the stage. Let's say, each character is coded with two recovery patterns, one for horizontal and one for vertical. So if someone like Fox is laterally above the platform, he can use Fox Illusion to recover, rather than Fire Fox. The current system makes CPUs the easiest things to edgeguard ever.
Secondly, CPUs show no sense of Directional Influence, or "DI". Once again, that shouldn't be too hard to code; at the very basics of it, DI away from weak attacks and towards strong attacks. But at the moment, they seem to DI randomly, to the point when sometimes you can infinite someone with Meta Knight's Jab. |
