Official Kirby Representative CrusaDLC Character Poll

As of today, the Kirby DLC Poll will get revamped due to suspicious acts of tampering with the votes from an anonymous source.

How will this poll be different from the previous ones, you ask?

Well, for the benefit of a more properly moderated and fair poll, all votes will now be accepted through Post Voting. This is the method that runs similar to how the Stage Roster Poll was done, except this one will be in the content of DLC. The votes will be accepted and eventually posted on the OP, where all votes will be visible as well as the candidate's rankings.

As usual, voters will have the option to vote from 1 candidate. The voters will have the option to post any vote changes as well.

For Now, this poll looks all simple & bland. I have set up the basics of this poll in favor for the community to start revoting. As I continue to update this poll, I will provide hyperlinks under each candidate's name that will provide images, wikis, and just about anything useful for the voters to get a chance to know their candidates. This thread will be more organized as time passes, so I apologize for the appeal of it.

How does O2 even work, I can't imagine him being playable at all. I'm going with Daroach.

Would have gone with Adeiline if it weren't for Bowser Jr taking up the paint mechanics...

02 would basically be a speedy combo powerhouse who relies decently on his ability to rack up serious damage and cause issues like slowdown, and potentially other things.

The issue of him being "unfitting" or "not working" came up many times in the old thread.

That doesn't explain anything. I can't imagine a floating eyeball doing any sort of fighting, you just gave a playstyle.

First, how does he even MOVE? Let alone do basic attacks that don't involve lasers of some kind.

hm...I WONDER how he moves. You answered it yourself by saying "Floating" eyeball. Also, you look like you're just trying to prove me wrong by saying "that don't involve lasers" because he would obviously use lasers and stuff. Also, he has wings that he can use. 02 never even used lasers as I recall. I remember him crying out projectiles, but never shooting lasers.

Voting for Daroach too. Porky and Ridley is OK, I actually like them and already got used to them into the game. But 02?

I can see him as a very good Adventure Mode boss (even better with his supposed "playstyle" above), but as an actual playable character?

About the size, he'll be more off-size than Ridley and Porky (though both of them are acceptable, he barely is). He was in the background during his 64 fight, quite a distance from Kirby, and he actually was huge. His original "alive" appearance in the SNES game too.

Well, I'm not forced to download him anyway, so I won't if he gets in. But IMO it's almost a waste of a precious DLC slot. Nothing against who actually likes him though.
Risking it, but isn't 02 a bit overrated here too? He only appeared in two main games and a secret final boss in both. It means some people may not even actually know him. And he has almost no development at all.

Daroach, IMO is a waste too. He has nothing interesting about him. Teleporting? Done that. Throwing Bombs? Done that. Shooting Beams? Done that. Staff Wielder? Done that.
Plus, he isn't really a villain, something that the Kirby roster lacks.

He still can do more than 02 by his own, and he could summon the Squeaks to attack too.
Tell me what of that "playstyle" above actually is in 02's own games. If anything about that is there at all, then it's more of an Informed Ability. And that gimmick works better with a boss than in a playable character if you ask me.

BTW, I wonder why Marx isn't in this DLC poll. He's actually a villain, has about Kirby's own size in his normal form, can also do more than 02 by his own while still looking like something out of a Kirby game as a playable character, and could use any of his final boss form's attacks with the "black hole" one while in that form as his FS. If it had him, I'd actually vote on him.

And a lot of characters have Informed Abilities. Wright, Pichu, R.O.B., Mr. Game & Watch, Ancient Minister, Balloon Fighter, Samurai Goroh, Captain Falcon ect.
We shouldn't have to stay away from informed abilities.

Personally, I can't stand 02. Based on my opinion, I think people only like him because of his theme. My viewpoint is that 02 is pretty overrated.

We shouldn't abuse them use say? The let's cut Captain Falcon, Samurai Goroh, R.O.B., Ancient Minister, and Duck Hunt Dog. In some of these cases, none of the moves they use have been the games the come from. Captain Falcon was almost entirely made from informed abilities. Same with R.O.B. and DHD.

Well, I didn't mean it like this, but understand it as you want. It probably won't change anything anyway.

As probably you didn't understand this well, informed abilities are abilities the characters are SAID to have, but it isn't actually SHOWN in any way. I don't remember C. Falcon ever punching the s*** out of people in SNES F-Zero, neither the manuals saying he can do it. Still, they put this in the 64 game just for the hell of it (and of course, to give him some original moves).

The Zero-Two's case is about the "sadness" thing. If it's implied at all, it doesn't affect the battle against his two fights in any way. Using that as an ability that actually affects the battle is a good idea, but not for a playable character IMO. If that's not the case, then give Pikachu and Pichu a gimmick that paralyzes completely the opponent after taking any physical attacks, as they have the ability Static in the Pokémon games.

It seems I can't repeat this enough: Unlike all the characters above, he probably is more suited as a boss than as a playable character (specially after its supposed gimmick).
Do a moveset that proves otherwise while having a lot of variety and originality, then I'll accept him as a character. I think it's unlikely, seeing as he's basically a giant eyeball with wings and a halo, so that's why I'm not voting him.
Not that it makes much difference though, as he's apparently somewhat overrated here.
