Is a character in the Samurai Shodown series of fighting games. She, sometimes being paired with Terry Bogard for such events.
Nakoruru is a young girl dressed in clothing that looks like Ainu traditional clothes. The basic colors of her clothes are white and red. She fights with a kodachi named Chichiushi and a hawk named Mamahaha assists her in her Slash version. She also has a wolf named Shikuru who also assists her when in Bust and Rera versions. The original idea of her came from the indigenous Ainu people of Hokkaido, Japan, who are analogous in Japan to the Native Americans in the United States. As the Japanese perceive the Ainu as living closer to nature, Nakoruru's role in the game is of a defender of Mother Nature; in some material Nakoruru has been referred to as a priestess of the Ainu religion



Why Nakoruru?

-Nakoruru is one of the most popular SNK characters in Japan, where she has surpassed other girls like Mai Shiranui, Athena Asamiya or Cham Cham in raiting. Also is popular in other parts of the world
-Is a mascot for SNK's social action programs for children and nature awareness campaigns
-Is the protagonist and most popular character of the franchise

Why Samurai Shodown Rep?
-Samurai shodown is one of SNK's most recognized francheres along with Fatal Fury, The King Of Fighters and Metal Slug
-Samurai Shodown was among the first fighting games that modified the Street Fighter II formula and chose a different fighting system and many gameplay and graphical deviations including the then revolutionary Neo-zoom effect, first seen in Art of Fighting.
-Samurai Shodown II was also enthusiastically received by critics, for adding new mechanics and enhancing existing ones.
-Samurai Shodown was the first one on one weapon fighting game
-The series was the first fighting game to feature characters who could use animals to help them during their fights
-Samurai Shodown II is the first to incorporate a specialized form of blocking: block an incoming attack at the last possible instant to deflect the opponent’s strike and stun them, enabling time for a counterattack
-Also as I said above is one of SNK's most popular franchises

Nakoruru over Haohmaru?
Yes, Although both are very important Nakoruru is more popular, she has her own spin offs, anime ovas and she is mostly chosen character to represent the franchise in the crossovers

Playstyle
Nakoruru is a fast and highly lethal character, but has very little physical defense, If Nakoruru is hit a lot she can lose her sword, making her weaker
She can return and grab her sword, if the sword falls off the stage it will reappear seconds later in the center of the stage
Mamahaha will follow closely to nakoruru at all times

You will also have an rage meter in the hud, When Nakoruru is hit the meter will fill up, when the meter is full Nakoruru will enter in a rage state for a short period of time increasing its strength, speed, etc. at the expense of defense




Special Attacks


Neutral Special (Amube Yatoro):Nakoruru points forward and mamahaha will dive as she is covered with fire towards the nearest opponent


Side Special (Annu/Rera/Kamui Mutsube): Charge her sword and attack the opponent with cutting power causing a lot of multi hit damage, If you press the up button right at the beginning of the attack Nakoruru Performs Rera Mutsube Similar to the  Annu Mutsube, but Nakoruru flies in a diagonally angle towards the sky
If Nakoruru is flying in Mamahaha and uses ther attack will make her enhanced version called Kamui Mutsube, Where it hits down and surrounded her sword in fire, ther attack causes much more damage but is very dangerous as it leaves the user in helpess state
If nakoruru does not have her sword he will simply use her shoulder as a replacement but he will do less damage and he will not have multihit



Up Special (Clinging to Mamahaha):Nakoruru raises up vertically to cling to Mamahaha in ther way can fly for a short period of time (3 seconds) Nakoruru is briefly invincible while rising up to Mamahaha


Down Special (Health Regeneratio): Nakoruru extends her arms and a wind from the nature begins to blow her cloak and hair, Ther regenerates life very slowly, But leaves completely vulnerable since in ther state her defenses go down a lot


Smash Final (Kanto Kamui Mutsube): Nakoruru flies with Mamahaha full screen towards the opponent, stabs, launches and slams them to ground, Bouncing violently and causing much Knockband



Aerials

Nair: Nakoruru turns on herself with her sword, If nakoruru does not have her sword she will simply give a simple kick


Dair: Nakoruru falls down as he points her sword down, If nakoruru does not have her sword she will give a downward kick until she reaches the ground


Uair: Nakoruru stabs upwards with her sword, damage and knockband depends on which part of the sword is struck the opponent, If nakoruru doesnt have her sword she will give a blow upwards her fist


Bair: Nakoruru turns her head back and slices with her sword, If nakoruru doesnt have her sword she will turn around and hit with her foot


Fair: Nakoruru strikes with a stab, If nakoruru doesnt have her sword hit with her two foots



Smash Attacks

Side Smash: Nakoruru makes two cuts to her left and her right, If nakoruru does not have her sword she will give a strong push with her two hands


Down Smash: Nakoruru grabs the sword with her two hands and nails it on the ground, If nakoruru does not have her sword she will give a strong push with her two hands, If nakoruru does not have her sword he will strike with her hands the ground to both sides



Up Smash: Nakoruru swings her sword up and performs two cuts ,If nakoruru does not have her sword he will make a hook with her two hands together



Normal Attacks


Jab/Combo: Nakoruru makes three simultaneous cuts then Mamahaha hits the opponent three times until he is knocked over, If she doesn't have her sword she will use her cloak


Side Tilt: Nakoruru simply makes a stab, If she does not have her sword she will use a simple kick


Up Tilt: Nakoruru Swings her sword up, If she doesn't have her sword he will use her cloak to strike up


Down Tilt: Nakoruru turns on herself like in her nair, If she doesnt have her sword Nakoruru rests her arms on the floor and kicks with her two feet together



Grabs/Throws

Grab: Nakoruru throws himself forward and tries to grab opponents with her two arms like a hug

Pummel:Nakoruru repeatedly strikes with his fists at his opponent in the face

Down Throw: Nakoruru tumbles the opponent to the ground and then nails with her sword, If she doesn't have her sword hit the opponent in the stomach

Up Throw: Nakoruru orders Mahaha to lift them in the air and then lash them against the floor

Side Throw : Nakoruru simply pushes the opponent with a shoulder charge

Back Throw: Nakoruru walks on the opponent after a somersault and hits the opponent with a strong kick in the face throwing them to the floor




Other Attacks/Taunts, etc

Dash attack (Kamui Risse): Nakoruru wears her suit and she spins it in circles, projecting forward, ther causes damage and reflect projectiles
Get up attack :Nakoruru gets up quickly and makes a powerful cut with his sword, If she does not have her sword she will use his cloak
Ledge atack: The same as her get up attack

Entrance: Nakoruru makes a reverence with his hands to the sides

Idle:Nakoruru covers his face with his left hand while with his right hand holds his sword sheathed

Taunt:Nakoruru adjusts her bow
Taunt 2:Nakoruru puts his fingers at both ends of his mouth and makes fun of his tongue
Taunt 3:Nakoruru turns with his cloak and he stands with his back to the camera while covering with his cloak then turns his head to see the player

Win: Nakoruru extends her arm and lets Mamahaha sit on her arm then nakoruru says "Arigato Mamahaha"

Lose: Clap

Then as a personal preference I think her voice of Neo Geo Battle Colisseum is the better choice


I will improve the moveset even more with time

Terry Bogard, Nakoruru, Kyo Kusanagi and Marco Rossi, I think SNK is popular enough to have 4 characters, Being that we have 4 capcom characters at the moment
