| Well, here I come.
I was thinking in the Pokémon Trainer, the Animal Crossing Villager, the Wii Fit Trainer, Robin Magician, Inkling, and Corrin Knight, and their trait of having vaireties of looks with their male and female versions (altought Pokémon Trainer is an exception due to he didn't returned for SSB4; and another exception is the Inkling, due to this character appeared only as a costume for the Mii Gunner...). So, now, here's my question:
If the Pokémon Trainer, the Animal Crossing Villager, the Wii Fit Trainer, Robin Magician, Inkling, and Corrin Knight join to SSBC, do you think it could be somewhat hard making male and female versions of these characters for Crusade? This due to the fact of making their sprites, animations, and programming...But well...
Comment, please.

| Trainer: Male
Villager: Male
Wii Fit Trainer: Female
Robin: Male
Corrin: Male
Those genders are the most promoted costumes in SSB4 so logically they'd be our choice.
It'd be pretty difficult to go through all the effort just for a costume. |

| They would have to sprite an entire character just to have an alt gender, so yeah it'd be hard. |

Even in a form similar to Luigi/Weegee, Power Suit Samus/Zero Suit Samus, Pikachu/Pichu, and Ryu/Evil Ryu, ie., alternate costumes/playable forms? |

Why do you think it'd be easier if they're alternates? Alternates are not characters with swapped genders, they're different characters period. |

| I don't think the pokemon trainer need many sprites, so it would be easy to have both genders |

| As a fan of female robin and Corrin i would like to suggest a poll for fans to decide which version will be used, if male or female.
As for OP's suggestion: Yeah, tons of respriting would be nutes for "Alternate costumes". You could perhaps get away with it with characters like Robin if you design the sprite to look androgynous and then just focus on the head/hair. Characters like Wii Fit Trainer and Inkling that are different? Might as well make them actual clones like Mario/Dr. Mario with different attributes or even different movesets (1 inkling could use guns while another uses the brush), but making that is more work and not all of them are popular enough to probably be asked for anyway. |

Not bad the idea However, I was thinking in different genders for each one of them (Robin and Corrin): Robin could be male, while Corrin could be female (and I'm saying this because we need more female characters in the game...No?) |

| To be fair, the Female Inkling is kinda the "poster child", though I wouldn't mind either wat |

| As much as I'd love this in the game, yeah, it'd too much work to get it done just for a costume. Though, if I coud join the team, I'd propose this and make the alts all on my own, without having to interruptany other dev's work and basically just work on an add-on. Oh well, I can dream. |

| I would suggest for characters like Robin and Corrin to use the same sprite for the body and different heads, if making it is too much work we could have 2 spriters work on it, but I know that's asking too much, because of the low number of spriters there are. And if Pokemon Trainer were to happen, making a male and female version would be easier because the number of sprites is lower. |
