| So for my birthday I bought myself the original Paper Mario, and ohhhhhh my god. It is amazing! From battling a heart, to a Bootler, to many characters of the T family. It is so much better then sticker star, I can see what you guys were talking about. |

| First two are great, though I'm in the minority opinion that the original's better (TTYD had too much backtracking and some elements in the ending that felt like a cop-out), so technically it's been a downhill slope for the series for me. Color Splash does look more interesting than Sticker Star, though. |

| I never actually got myself to finish Thousand Year Door. It seems like it drags on far too much. I've gotten to the part where you - Spoiler:
go to the moon or whatever
which I think is near the end. I vastly prefer the original, and have played it through all the way to the end many times. I will say that I do find myself enjoying Thousand-Year door, but it doesn't hold me to the end. I don't regret buying it at all though 'cus over the years I've played it a lot. Good game. Super Paper Mario is great, get it. |

| I only have experience with the N64 original and Super. My brother borrowed TTYD multiple times but never, ever finished it. I never got too far myself, but I have watched a few let's plays through to the end.
I don't think there is enough different with TTYD that justifies it being "clearly superior" to the original N64 game, and therefore the best. I think it did make cool changes, but I'm of the opinion that TTYD is yet another victim of "Youtuber Hyperbole" making it out to be the pinnacle of gaming itself. A lot of what makes TTYD great was also seen in the original, it just took different forms.
It's the same problem I have with Mega Man X. Everyone just assumes Mega Man X is the greatest Mega Man game ever made because Egoraptor made a video singing its praises, and his opinion just permeated throughout the internet consciousness. It did have actual problems that can make it less enjoyable, even though it is a good game. |

| People just love echoing egoraptor's opinion lol
Just look at how many times you see people complaining about having to wait in OoT after that video of his came out |

| I do have to say that TTYD has so much about it that is clearly superior to the original, I just find the first more charming is all. Mechanically, TTYD is the superior game. |

| Yeah the backtracking is real.
If you're emulating it, check this out: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-paper-mario-ttyd-hd-texture-pack-v0-8c-september-3-2016
Makes the game even prettier than it already is. |

| *Insert hate for Color Splash because it's not TTYD2* I really don't get these hate bandwagons for games that aren't even out. Color Splash could be good in its own right. (Yes I know this is for PM64 but whatev) |

| Some stuck up fanboys want the series to die unless they get TTYD2. It's quite stupid if you ask me. |
