Nothing special I suppose, I'm wanting to know your thoughts on it - is it accidentally ripping something off? Does it sound fun? Boring? Some huge flaw in the idea? Missing info? I'd like to know. Also had no idea where to post this so nyah.
GAMEPLAY
Each battle pits one “warrior” versus another on a selected stage. The goal of each warrior is to defeat the other’s human partner (aka “link”), causing the link between the human and warrior to break, thus leaving the warrior powerless against the other.
To do this, the warriors must protect their human while also trying to break through the other’s warrior’s defenses to defeat their opponent’s link.
Basic gameplay is somewhat similar to smash brothers: you jump around a stage, battling other opponents, knocking them around, etc. There are normals and specials. Warriors and their links both have health bars, but in truth only the human’s really matters: the person who defeats the other’s human link is the winner, no matter how much health the warriors themselves have. Warriors that lose all their health are knocked out briefly; they CAN eventually revive after a time, however, making knocking out an opposing warrior only a short-term solution.
A player can control both their warrior and human link in battle. Warriors have varying attacks that allow them to fight their opponents, and while humans can have a few fighting moves of their own, they are generally much weaker than a warrior’s. Humans, however, can do something warriors cannot: make use of energy. When warriors battle, they accumulate energy. Humans can evolve their warriors in battle and give them varying bonuses with the energy that warriors acquire when they battle.
Evolving is a method to power-up a warrior for the rest of the battle, and can be done twice: once to evolve to a middle-stage, and a second time to evolve a warrior into their “true”/full form. Evolving gives a substantial boost to a warrior’s performance; any prior weaknesses may be covered up, and any prior strengths may be greatly enhanced. Evolving is a major key in winning a battle.
