Did you guys like the underground/pipe-maze episode? I hear that it's often considered the worst.

I honestly don't remember much about it but I know he's cutting it in the reboot as well as the Basilisx fight from the last episode.

The underground/pipe-maze episode was boring, i liked the 8-bit fight but that was all about it, I don't even remember at all why they went there =/.

I found all of the episodes fairly interesting to watch. I mean didn't you just come off of a major fight scene at that point in time? Of course it would seem underwhelming.

Ah memories, to think that it would actually return.

It was definitely the slowest of the episodes. Lots of info dumping for a lot of things that only effected that one episode. Understandable why he's cutting it.

Understandable indeed, but I feel as though the episode could be made to be more relevant in the reboot by making it's "lore" more important to the rest of the episodes. It had some creative fight scenes (sonic dodging Mecha Sonic's machine gun by running on the corridor's walls) instead of just pointless fighting, added some lore and mystery, and the whole "we're lost" and "we're not getting out of the minus world" problems added some much needed suspense.

The Bowser's Kingdom cameo IMO was cringeworthy.

For those interested, episode 1 of the remake is out and it's pretty good.
