I feel like if we had to add a fighter from Smash 4, it'd be Villager. Animal Crossing is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, and needs a rep of some sort. (It should at least get a stage at some point)

Why not? He could be a good addition.

However, about changes, here are some suggestions:

-For Grab, he uses a fishing rod

-For Back Aerial, he uses a Roman Candle

-For Down Aerial, he uses a Party Popper

-For Side Special, he uses a butterfly net, which alows to him trapping his enemies, for later throwing them

-For Up Special, he rides the Gyroid, flying depending the direction the player aims

-About the rest (including Smash Attacks and Final Smash, there's no trouble)


What do you think? Comment, please.



(P.D.: I changed the Up Special because I'm supporting to Balloon Fighter for this game...)

I think he doesn't need any changes at all.
And hey, just because Villager uses Balloon Flight as an Up Special doesn't mean that Balloon Fighter cannot be playable.
I mean, Balloon Fighter still can be a playable and then just reuse Villager's Up Special from Smash 4.
I don't see a problem in having two characters have the same Up Special.

Villager is one of my mains from Smash 4, so yeah, I wouldn't mind his return obviously.

Though if I were to suggest changes...

- Up and Down aerials are no longer random, instead they cycle through 1, 2, and 3 turnips.
- Lloid Rocket can be angled up or down slightly when Villager is setting it up.
- Up Tilt is replaced with the toy hammer from New Leaf, it hits in an arc above Villager.

Agree with SP's changes! Though if i may..
- Down Aerial with 3 turnips gets a better spike hitbox too.
- Lloid Rocket should only be angled when villager is on the ground.
- Up tilt or up air can either be replaced with a fishing rod swing above him for better coverage than sm4sh's stick, but just as laggy.
- A special "image" beside villager's icon and percentage to signal whenever Villager has something in his pocket similar to how Little Mac has the KO Punch bar.
- Up B can be "Pseudo replaced" with the gamecube's gifts. When performed, Villager stands on a gift box that has a single balloon wrapped to it. Functionality wise it's majorly the same while also leaving room for balloon fighter to actually do the original sm4sh Up B animation himself.
Since it has a single balloon it might be easier to edge guard him, but as a trade off the gift could be used too. Wether to pocket as a small item to use or give it a "Falling" hitbox when the Up B ends for uses similar to Sonic's Spring (Just a little more risky since you do end up in free fall animation).

Yeah, Villager is pretty much the most creative character from Smash 4. Keep his moveset, final smash, everything. I support.

minor request though-if(or when) they are added It would be cool to see the Viking Hat from the first game come back.

Of all veterans, I think Villager deserves it the most. Though bumped down to a secondary in Sm4sh for me, Villager has the most creative moveset in Smash. Though I'd like a small change to him - give him a tether recovery using the fishing rod. His standard grab can stay the net.
