The Mii would be a great character because they are in lots of games and use lots of different items.

On the wii, wii u,and 3ds, Miis are customizable characters that are used in games to represent you and your friends

Debut: DS (In some games that include mii makers)
Appeared On: DS, Wii, 3DS, Wii U


BUT WAIT, WOULDNT IT BE A LOT OF WORK TO MAKE THEM CUSTOMIZABLE?
They could just use the default miis if its too hard to make them customizable

Here is the moveset:

Specials:
Neutral: Hits a baseball with a bat. (Wii Sports)
Side: Throws a bowling ball which increases speed and does lots of damage but has lots of starting lag. (Wii Sports)
Up: Floats inside a bubble and pops on its own after a while but can be popped but can also be popped by players. (Wii Motion)
Down: Uses a guitar which gives off a wave which hurts opponents. (Wii Music)

Attacks:
Neutral:  Punches with boxing gloves. (Wii Sports)
Side: A slash with a sword. (Wii Sports Resort)
Down: A small hit with a golf club. (Wii Sports)
Up: Jabs up with two hands (Nintendo Land Octopus Dance)
Dash: A forward dash and stab with a sword.

Smashes:
Side: A flash with a flashlight which stuns opponents for a little while before they get knocked away
Down: A spin with a tennis racket
Up: An upward stab with a blliards stick

Aerials:
Neutral: Goes inside a bubble and pops it right away.
Side: A slash forward with a frisbee
Back: A spin with a frisbee
Down: Drops down an 8 ball

Grabs:
Grab Attack: Hit with wiimote
Throws: All of them are pretty generic throws

Final Smash: Mii Parade
A Parade of Miis come and run over everyone.

Alt Moveset:
Get moves from any of the other characters and mix them into one character.

I feel the same way about this that I feel about mii fighters. Without the customizability, there'd be almost no point in adding the mii to the roster.

I definitely like the idea of a Mii being playable but I'm not fully sure if I'm sold just yet

There's not much of a point to add the Mii without customizability. Perhaps the Mii could be featured in an update with a lot of work derived to them and we could have some sort of character creator.

No support until something like that is confirmed possible though.

Nah. You ned customisation to make a Mii. Not only that, but this just feels like throwing every Wii ___ title in.

Why not?

It would be a nice idea creating our own fighters. If it happened un SSB4, The Miis Can also in SSBC.

However, it could be likely that they come in their 3 types: Brawler, Sword, Gunner...Altought it Can be good idea adding new Custom Superpowers and Types XD
