Amy Rose enters Crusade just in time to catch Sonic! Many of Amy's attacks use her Piko Piko Hammer which offers decent disjoints and reliable KO power! Despite keeping her hammer hidden, many of her attacks come out very fast. Her more powerful attacks tend to have quite a bit of cooldown though. She's mainly a combo character as her weaker attacks and most of her aerials have low lag allowing them to link together quite nicely.

Amy's a small lightweight character but like the rest of the Sonic cast she has a high falling speed. She has a very high double jump, as double jumping is a special ability of Amy's in several Sonic games.

Adding Amy PROS!
Abundance of sprites spanning from all the Sonic Advance games AND Sonic Battle!

A more unique moveset to differentiate her from the other Sonic Reps, who mainly punch & kick.

Can be an additional Sonic rep and complete the original 4 from Sonic Advance.

Her moveset and specials pay homage to the older Sonic games. Primarily Sonic Adventure, the Sonic Advance series, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic 06(even if it wasn't the best! :3).

Standard Attacks
Jab: Piko Piko Hammer
Damage: 7%
Knockback: Low
Range: Long
Description: Amy's staple hamner swing. A fast jab with good range, the hitbox hearts arc over amy. Good anti-air and pike tool.

Ftilt: Hip-swing
Damage: 7%
Knockback: Medium
Range: Short
Description: Amy does a 360° spin on her heels. Bumping anything away with her behind.

Utilt: Hammer Up-swing
Damage: 9%
Knockback: Medium
Range: Medium
Description: Amy swings her hammer upwards infront of her. Doesn't hit on both sides or directly above her. Good for comboing, a little cooldown though.

Dtilt: Lean kick
Damage: 6%
Knockback: Low
Range: Medium
Description: Amy leans backwards and extends one of her legs. Low knockback, making it good for combos. A fast tilt.

Dash Attack: Shoulder tackle
Damage: 8%
Knockback: Medium
Range: Medium
Description: A simple yet fast tackle, decent knockback, can't kill but good for getting an opponent offstage.

Smash Attacks
Side Smash: Hammer Swing
Damage: 16%
Knockback: Very High
Range: Medium
Description: Amy quickly winds up her hammer like a baseball bat and swings with mighty force! Can kill just under 100%, has reflector properties.

Up Smash: Hammer Time
Damage: 13%
Knockback: High
Range: Medium
Description: A little bit of startup lag, Amy swings her hammer in an arc overhead. A pretty laggy move all together, can mainly kill around 120%.

Down Smash: Hammer Sweep
Damage: 12%
Knockback: High
Range: Medium
Description: Amy spins in place swinging her hammer around. Hit's on both sides and comes out pretty fast. Can mainly kill around 130%, sends opponents at a diagnol angle.

Aerials
Neutral Air: Hammer Flip
Damage: 11%
Knockback: Medium
Range: Medium
Description: Amy's signature hammer flip, which she uses in place of a spin dash jump. It's good at comboing, killing at high percents, and puts a hitbox all around Amy.

Forward Air: Spin Kick
Damage: 8%
Knockback: Low
Range: Short
Description: Amy spins midair, kicking anyone with the sole of her boot. A fast and weak attack used for combos.

Back Air: Hammer Swat
Damage: 12%
Knockback: High
Range: Medium
Description: After a slight delay Amy spins around, swatting anything behind her with her Hammer.

Up Air: Hammer Scoop
Damage: 9%
Knockback: Low
Range: Medium
Description: Amy swings her hammer upwards scooping up anyone she hits, a weak attack, amazing for extending combos.

Down Air: Hammer Squash
Damage: 13%(sweet), 11%(sour)
Knockback: High
Range: Medium, downwards
Description: Amy swings her hammer downwards. Spikes opponents when the hitbox first comes out, if hit late then it has horizontal knockback.

Special Attacks
Neutral Special: Invisibility
Damage: 1%
Knockback: Very Low
Range: Short
Description: Amy blows a kiss, becoming Invinsible in the process. She stays invisible for 10 seconds, unless she takes 9% of damage or more. Which knocks her out of her invisibility. The big pink heart from the initial blown kiss is a very weak and extremely short joke projectile, and can be pocketed, reflected, power shielded, etc.

Side Special: Spin Hammer Attack
Damage: 15% if all hits connect.
Knockback: High
Range: Long
Description: On the ground, Amy spins in place. Whirling her hammer around, she can slide a little bit to the left and right. But midair Spin Hammer Attack acts like Ice Climbers' Squall Hammer, and can be tapped repeatedly for good horizontal/diagnol recovery. It's also good for killing opponents in the air/suicide killing near the upper and side blast zone respectively.

Up Special: Balloon Escape
Knockback: Low
Range: Very Long
Description: Amy uses the big balloon from Sonic Adventure to recover. The balloon has a HP bar of 13% before it will pop, leaving Amy in helpless fall. The balloon has some of the best recovery distance in the game. Amy can press the special button again to release the balloon, which can be useful for sweetspotting the ledge. The balloon also has a slight windbox, that bounces anyone away if they come into direct contact with it.

Down Special: Hammer Jump
Damage: 5%
Knockback: High
Range: Medium
Description: Amy quickly slams her Piko Piko Hammer into the ground infront of her. Causing her to flip high into the air. When used to hit an opponent it will send them flying straight into the air with Amy. Allowing her to create and extend unique combo chains. Hammer Jump can be used out of dash but can not be used midair. Amy can only cancel Hammer Jump into an aerial or special once she reaches the apex of the jump. Until then she is vulnerable to attacks.

Grab & Throws
Grab: Hold
Range: Short
Description: Amy grabs her opponent and holds onto them.

Pummel: Swift Kick
Damage: 2%
Description: Amy kicks her opponent in the shin.

Forward Throw: Behind Kick
Damage: 10%
Knockback: High
Description: Amy turns her opponent around and angrily kicks them in the behind!

Back Throw: Spin Throw
Damage: 11%
Knockback: Medium
Description: Amy spins in place, swinging her opponent before realeasing them with great force. Similar to Mario's back throw.

Up Throw: Hammer Assist
Damage: 12%
Knockback: High
Description: Amy throws her opponent in the air before swinging her hammer upwards, batting them away. Can KO at high percents.

Down Throw: Leap Frog
Damage: 7%
Knockback: Low
Description: Amy throws her opponent under her while she leaps over them.

Final Smash

Team Rose: Flower Festival
Damage: Up to 30% all blossoms connect, 20% for firework explosion.
Knockback: Very High
Range: Long
Description: Cream and Big hop onto the screen, doing a synchronized dance with Amy. Cherry Blossoms shower down on enemies, pulling them towards the trio. At the end a giant firework explosion occurs dealing high damage and knockback. Cream and Big then hop off stage.

Sorry then my bad but anyways i guess she deserve a spot but i said that almost everyones wants Robotnik aka Dr.Eggman althought she appered before Shadow in the franchise but i guess she will be a great character for 5th or even 6th for a Sonic character but i dont decide this so that depends on the team and community as well

I'm still on the fence about supporting her - we already have 4 (5?) Sonic characters.

I don't like the neutral or down specials. Not sure where they come from actually... Also dissapointed dash attack isn't the Sonic Adventure hammer attack that leaves Amy airborne.

The neutral special comes from Sonic 06 actually lol. She had like, 2 levels in that game and her special ability was that she could turn invisible. I kinda suits Amy considering in some games she's in she takes more stealthy/evasive roles. Hiding from the robot in Sonic Adventure, sneaking through prison island to break Sonic out of jail in Sonic Adventure 2, and as stated she can turn invisible in sonic 06.

Also her down special came from Sonic Advance 3, some characters she partnered with gave her a super dash. But I like your idea ALOT more! I'll edit it in as a replacement! Smile

I do still think she deserves to be in , if our 5 ps reps get in with Crash counts like 6 ps rep (Crash and Spyro we all know did appear on nintendo Crash since Naughty Dog stop with the franchise and the franchise i know now is Activision but in that time was Universal Studios Interactive i guess and Spyro i dont  why did he appear on ds and wii) an6yways i know the community claim of the quantity of Sonic characters that is in the game but if Sly,Jak ,Ratchet, Spyro and PaRappa get in and we all they didnt appear on nintendo except  for Spyro and Crash but the rest didnt appear i refer to Sly,Jak,Ratchet and PaRappa if they get in why not both Amy and Robonik can get in ,just saying i am not complaining

@Ottsel Dude, just stop. Eggman is his name, heck, it was always his name in Japan. Eggman's also easier to spell and isn't a mouthful

With Amy, I don't think she should be in. Not like this was a bad moveset, but the only other Sonic character I see being in is Eggman. Still waiting for another Sega character other than Sonic ones to be suggested (Ristar doesn't count since he's in the game).

Seriously, this is that stupid Geno displayname discussion all over again!
Why cannot we just talk about the character in the topic?!
Aside from that, while the moveset does sound interesting, I still think Eggman/Robotnik should be playable before Amy, and then, and with 5 characters from the Sonic franchise, a 6th one would be already overrepresentation of this franchise, especially since it's merely 3rd party and not, you know, a Nintendo franchise, which still has got the higher priority.

While I do feel that this moveset is unique, I think Dr. Eggman has a more probable chance of getting in, unless another Sega is available (such as Arle or Beat).

Well, it's not confirmed that any of the Playstation exclusives you named above will be added to Crusade. Even if they were, I still don't see what that's got to do with Amy and Eggman's chances in Crusade.

I like the moveset, however I can't get behind this character for the obvious reasons.

We already have 4 Sonic characters in the game, 2 of them which I personally feel were never needed in the first place. We don't even have Dr. Eggman/Robotnik. If we were somehow ok with having a 5th Sonic character, why would I want to get behind Amy, another support character of Sonic in which we already have 3 of them over Eggman?

Great effort and presentation, but no support from me for her inclusion for reasons mentioned above.

Shadow was obviously needed in order to fill in the rival spot in the Sonic representation.
But yeah, Knuckles is not as needed as Sonic, Tails and Shadow.
However, I also don't really want Eggman to be playable, but then again, Crusade already has Porky and Petey, which in my opinion fit more as boss characters than as playables, so maybe Eggman has a chance as well...

And yes, his name is Dr. Eggman, NOT Dr. Robotnik, and it even gets confirmed in the japanese versions of the old MegaDrive/Genesis Sonic games.

I dont want to offend anyone but i didnt like Tingle at all i guess Zelda and Sheik deserved to be in before Tingle , and actually there great Zelda's character but anyways dont think they would removed any character that already is in

I think Amy would be a good character, even more than Eggman, we would have more female characters in the game and Amy has great potential in her moveset. But Eggman will probably be the fan-favourite and because he is the main villian and much more important than Amy.

I get that having a lot of variety is good and removing characters that are already finished may seem like a bad idea, but it's certainly not a step in the wrong direction if it's the wrong rep. Look, I love content and all, but I'd actively encourage the removal of certain characters whose inclusions don't make much sense and/or are inhibiting better options (Shadow, Petey, Weegee, etc...I literally use Shadow and main Weegee and I still think this).

Ugh...I REALLY want to support this character, and I mean that, but considering what I stated just now...
First of all, we have four Sonic reps already and nearly no other SEGA reps to even things out (and the one SEGA rep we DO have doesn't even seem to click with many people). Second of all, if we DO get another Sonic rep (which I'm against unless we kill off Shadow), we should get Eggman first (and this is coming from someone who prefers Amy to Eggman). Honestly though, I firmly believe STKA&E would be the best choices for the Sonic series. Five may be pushing it a tad, but it's not too big a deal if the chosen characters are good reps and the series is popular enough (and it sure as hell is).

Because Eggman and Amy are both more relevant representatives for the Sonic series, and having six reps from the Sonic series and yet nearly no other SEGA reps whatsoever is ridiculous. Knuckles is and always has been a fine rival for Sonic anyway. With these things considered, Shadow just feels like an unnecessary extra who prevents these better reps from getting in. Even if we don't get Amy, at the very least I'd rather have the series' actual villain before another clone rival, thanks.

I'd probably be content with having all 6 of them if we had a number of other SEGA reps greater than or equal to that, like how the number of Capcom refs from Street Fighter/Other stay the same (Ryu and Chun-li from SF, Megaman and Phoenix Wright from other - that's 2 and 2, and nothing feels uneven. Evil Ryu's just a similar alt of Ryu so he doesn't really count, and even if he does, that's only a one-character difference, unlike the horrible 4:1 ratio of Sonic:SEGA characters we have now).

Seeing as how the last Amy thread had little to no effort put into it, I definitely support this because of it's creative moveset. Even though we have lots of Sonic reps, I would definitely main her if she was an actual character.
