| I'm pretty much a fan of Death Battle, and since that Akuma is involved with DB (Research Team), I thought I would post this for his opinion  Karin (Shadow Hearts) vs. Mitsuru (Persona) Ogre (Tekken) vs. Kortal Kahn (Mortal Kombat) Shovel Knight vs. Shantae Ben Tennyson (Ben 10) vs. Yuri Hyuga (Shadow Hearts) Ganondorf (Legend of Zelda) vs. Aku (Samurai Jack) Pete (Mickey Mouse) vs. Bluto (Popeye) Link (Legend of Zelda) vs. Adol the Red (Ys) Aisha (Ys) vs. Anastasia (Shadow Hearts) Teddie (Persona) vs. Riki (Xenoblade Choronicals) Satsuki (Kill la Kill) vs. Vergil (Devil May Cry) Potemkin (Guilty Gear) vs. Iron Tager (BlazeBlue) Spy (Team Fortress 2) vs. (Any) Spy (Spy vs. Spy) Alice (American Mcgee's Alice) vs. Bulleta (Darkstarkers) Heihachi (Tekken) vs. Geese Howard (Fatal Fury/King of Fighters) Dust w/Fidget (Dust: An Elysian Tale) vs. Momohime (Muramasa: The Demon Blade)or  Dust w/Fidget (Dust: An Elysian Tale) vs. Kisuke (Muramasa: The Demon Blade)- Match-Ups:
Aisha & Anastasia: Both being young princesses who focuses on the element on water. Despite being cocky, they do care about their own family.
In Short: Young Princess Match (with water)
Ben & Yuri: Both can transform into different forms, each having different feats and abilities. They are also both cocky and sometimes smirk at any danger.
In short: Monster Transforming match
Link & Adol the Red: Both sword and sheild weilders going on an adventure, heading new locations, and help prevent a problem that is troubling the land. Also, they have a tendency to attract women.
In Short: Traveling Hero match
Karin & Mitsuru: Both red-haired, Mature, sword/rapier weilders that fought against abominations and eventually a god. They are also weak to their opponents elements, Karin's element is Fire which means she takes more damage to Water (Ice can be considered as Water), while Mitsuru's element is Ice which means that she takes more damage to Fire.
In Short: Sword/Rapier weilders & Element Weakness Match
Ogre & Kortal Kahn: Both have Aztec-themes surronding them, and that they are massively similar. Also, they look buff.
In Short: Aztec-Themed, look-alike match
Shovel Knight & Shantae: Both being loved Indie characters, with successful kickstarters. Both also have Improbable weapons.
In Short: Indie character match
Ganondorf & Aku: Both are Dark, evil wizards that rule lands and offers a bad future. Both have an arch-nemesis hero that tries to stop them, and are weak to light/holy.
In Short: Dark Tyrant match
Pete & Bluto: Both are nasty brutes that bully the main character and try to steal their love interest. They are the suppose love-to-hate characters.
In Short: Rival Brute match
Teddie & Riki: Both are round, cute, and supposed comic-relief. But, both are capable of fighting any monster, big or small.
In Short: Cute but Deadly match

Others I'm not sure about because I do not know much about one or both characters (for example, all my knowledge on Aisha or Anastasia can fill up a stamp and still have 99.9% space left). Shame I don't have any real power beyond giving information to them and trying to secretly get sprite projects done for them. |

| Thanks for responding  Sorry if some of the characters are obscure, some I made them way before I made this post and I was in a phase to play underrated games. Next time I will try to do matches with characters that more recognizable. How about tell me the battles that you like and/or stick out the most. I want to make sure that I did something right. |

How about tell me the battles that you like and/or stick out the most. I want to make sure that I did something right. That's the thing about Death Battle, its less about what's more recognizable and more what would be fun to watch. Bucky Vs Fox wouldn't have happened if they only went with the more popular one. And I doubt Guts Vs Nightmare would have been one as well. They'll take in any requests and the ones that would be a good fight would be used. Just got to explain why you made said choices. If they're obscure, talk about them and give us a reason why they would be a good match. Remember, a future match is going to be Smokey the Bear Vs McGruff the Crime Dog (they mentioned it here). |

| I'd prefer to see Donkey Kong against Bluto. The original Donkey Kong game was supposed to be a Popeye game with Bluto taking the place of Donkey Kong, so they have a lot of behind the scenes history. |

Are we talking about pre-Donkey Kong Country or post-Donkey Kong Country If pre: I checked, and his abilities amount to throwing barrels, summoning pests, and become giant (unless if we are also taking Mario vs Donkey Kong & the cartoon). While at least he doesn't resort too throwing barrels, i'm not sure if that's enough to make an interesting fight. If post: not sure since it's a lot different to Bluto than pre. |

| No reason it can't be both. I know there's the whole "Donkey Kong is Cranky Kong" thing but it could be ignored.
If not then probably pre, given that it includes the original games. |
