Not bad. The Inkling is a good fighter idea for this game.

However, for Special Moves ideas, here are the mines:

-Neutral Special: Splattershot: The Inkling shoots an amount of ink shots to the enemy. The shots even can be charged.

-Side Special: Carbon Roller: The Inkling uses the Roller, and starts to dash, while attacking his/her enemies.

-Up Special: Ink Dive: The Inkling transforms in a squid, and starts to jump very high. After using this move, he/she returns to his/her human form.

-Down Special: Splat Bomb: The Inkling throws an ink bomb to the enemies.

-Final Smash: Ink Cross Bomb: The Inkling uses the Brush for draw a giant ink cross on the screen, which, gets expanded , damaging to the enemies, until after a few seconds, it explodes, damaging to the nearest enemies.

What do you think? Comment, please.

Uh... did you even read my moveset? I put Splattershot as the neutral normal move, and the normal roller is the dash attack. I mean, those might work if the Inkling did melee attacks, but that doesn't make too much sense.

Also, that final smash is terrible... it's like a copy of Bowser Jr's and isn't actually a move in Splatoon. It should be Kraken or Inkstrike...

Why not both? Ryu has two Final Smashes, too.

That's definitely an option. Could throw in Killer Wail as well.

Ok...

The thing that happens is that the Splattershot as a Neutral Special is much more senseful than a Normal Hit...Remember that of this form fights MegaMan in SSB4, and this hasn't too much sense, if I must be honest...

And, about Inkstrike, how it could be?

Why wouldn't it work as a normal hit? It works for Mega Man and made perfect sense. Inkling is all about shooting, which should be reflected in her normal moves. In fact, a huge part of her moveset is projectiles - smash attacks, a few aerials, etc.

How would Inkstrike work? A giant tornado appears and does a large amount of damage and knockback. I'm partial to Kraken, but Inkstrike and Killer Wail are both 'specials' in Splatoon, unlike this... cross bomb?

I feel like changing down special to crouch might be a better way of doing things.

Just an idea I had, didn't think everything through.

Well, Kraken could function.

However, about Down Special, I'm suggesting Ink Bomb.

Agreed. There would finally be a good use for a crawl.

as this was the character I actually voted for in the ballot, I so support.

Digging that moveset too. I was wondering also if Inkling would have similar traits as Orcane from RoA or Vaporeon from Smash Land with teleporting using puddle or the like, but ths one makes a bit more sense and is much more accurate to the game.

I support. I think they could bring some unique gameplay to the table and they are pretty popular at the moment.

Why would the Inkling just teleport into puddles? Makes no sense.

That could actually work... then the question is, what fits as a down special. Maybe that could be the sprinkler, and find a more normal move for dtilt? I like the idea of her specials being more for stage control with the sub weapons, while the main attacks are from the normal weapons.

How about the Inkling is able to place a beacon. Whenever the Inkling would use up special after that, it would take you to the beacon you placed. Which in fact, actually brings us back to Orcane from RoA...

And another idea, what if instead of using the splattershot in the forward throw, Inkling would throw the opponent forward, then run up to the opponent using the inkbrush on the ground for another few hits depending on where the opponent DIs.

i dunno im just trying to find a use for the inkbrush on the ground

Sprinkler as Down B is great! Also, where could the disruptor be used? It's the only bomb not used, along with the mine.
Also, Sean, avoid double posting. Edit button exists, you know

Great Job implementing the "Paint-ink" gimmick. It might take a little to code down, specially since it's stage dependant but definitively support!

I feel like a throw shouldn't move the character much, but that's a decent idea... I'll think about it.

We don't need to use every one, right? To be perfectly honest, the current 'bomb' thing is actually really complicated. I might remove the seekers.

I think Inklings could have a bunch of fun colors, personally.
- Orange, Blue, Purple, Pink, Turquoise & Lime Green (Default Inkling Colors that were in Base Game before Updates)
- Black, White & Beige (Callie, Marie & Cuttlefish)
- Dark Magenta (Octolings)
- Red, Yellow & Cyan (Rest of the Rainbow)
Plus you could have the Inkling's different Skin Colors too~ ;D

As far as colors, I feel like we should stick to the game's colors. I also think we should avoid using Red, Yellow, and White...

Different skin colors could work too, but we're only going to have 8 or so different colors.

So let's put into perspective...

These could be our skin colors;
Spoiler:

These could be the eye colors;
Spoiler:

And for the Ink Colors, we could have
Orange / Blue - 1
Lime Green / Turquoise - 2
Pink / Purple - 3
Wildcard A / Wildcard B - 4

Stick Numbers to Colors, yadda yadda, Inka Dinka Doo, boom, pallete swaps.
And since there are definitely more than 4 similar-looking Tees in Splatoon, you could probably have them wearing different shirts too.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

The problem with different shirts and outfits is that it requires a resprite. The 'colors' are going to be literal recolors, nothing else.

The numbering with the colors seems to be good, though.

I'm moreso talking about the shirts with near-identical looks but similar colors
Examples;
http://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/White_Tee - Inkling's basic attire
http://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Black_Tee - Literally an Inverse of the White Tee
http://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Basic_Tee - The clothes the game starts you out with, literally a Yellow version of the White Tee
http://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Octo_Tee - Just remove the bracelets and yer good

Bada-boom, we got 4 right there. ;D
