| so my buddy and i are trying to play online. i have my ports open. i send him my ip, he keeps getting timed out and/or disconnected regardless what latency i put it on. any ideas on how to fix it? im not using evolve or hamachi, im just straight up port forwarding.

| Make sure you're forwarding the right ports in both your computer in and your router. |

in and your router. i know for a fact that the ports are open on my router. but not sure if they're open on my computer. how do i check that? |

we should't be having problems then. i sent him the recently patched version of the game so he doesn't have to patch the older version. so, we are certain we are both running the newest patched exe. Well I'm telling you out of the experience I had with other players that did not update their game. The issue you have fits it perfectly so MAKE sure you both have the files replaced otherwise you'll continue to have this issue. |

| I would recommend you both delete your crusade 0.9 folder entirely (you can keep settings.txt and controls.ini if you like) and download the main download from gamejolt. If the problem still persists after you both have started fresh with the latest main download, let us know. The main download did update today, so it's possible for you guys to have a discrepancy there. |

yeah, im just gonna delete and redownload everything, including Evolve. because port forwarding is a real pain in the ass to do. you don't need to port forward when you use Evolve, do you? |

| getting online to work was a success. playing with a random as we speak. deleting an redownloading the game and Evolve fixed the problem thanks for the advice and help peeps '-' |
