Nintendo vs Capcom - Should it happen?

I know this is a long shot, but can Nintendo vs Capcom happen? I think it can happen and it should happen. I mean think about it:

*Both are video game giants
*Both have a humongous library of varied franchises
*Some of Capcom's best games (Mega Man, Resident Evil, Street Fighter) have appeared on Nintendo systems
*Both have very successful fighting franchises

etc, etc.

I have a lot of ideas for a potential crossover like this. Heck, i can even put my personal roster for the game

The gameplay would be ala Marvel vs Capcom 3 with a few ways to escape from combos (kinda like the burst from BlazBlue or the Mega Crash in TVC).

It's definitely a decent idea, and it isn't that farfetched.
I'm not sure if the roster would be that big, though.

I also don't know if it'd copy the normal vs Capcom formula 100%... I've always thought it odd to imagine Nintendo characters in a Street Fighter-like element (I know about Link), but it might just because I'm so used to seeing them in their Smash Bros. setting.

I do know that at one point someone was attempting to make something along these lines in MUGEN, IDK whatever happened to it though.

Little Mac vs Batsu

Luigi vs Akuma

I thought Mewtwo vs Akuma, Luigi vs Ken, Midna vs Morrigan, Girahim vs Vergil, Little Mac vs Batsu, Asura vs Pit, Ganondorf vs Wekser, Bison vs Bowser and Chrom vs Hayato.

I also though of some hidden bosses (like Shin Akuma in SF4).

NOTE: (Hyper Combo Finishers can count as a character per team)

Shin Bowser - 4 First Attacks, 6 Hyper Combo Finishers, Must not lose a round, 1 Perfect (Nintendo)

Shin M. Bison - 4 First Attacks, 6 Hyper Combo Finishers, Must not lose a round, 1 Perfect (Capcom)

Shin Ganondorf - Normal or Higher, 4 First Attacks, 8 Hyper Combo Finishers, Must not lose a round, Must finish battle before the boss with a Hyper, 2 Perfects (Nintendo)

Shin Wesker - Normal or Higher, 4 First Attacks, 8 Hyper Combo Finishers, Must not lose a round, Must finish battle before the boss with a Hyper, 2 Perfects (Capcom)

Armor Mewtwo - Normal or Higher, 6 First Attacks, 12 Hyper Combo Finishers, Must not lose a round or character, defeat the battle before the boss AND the actual boss with a Hyper, 4 Perfects (Nintendo)

Oni - Normal or Higher, 6 First Attacks, 12 Hyper Combo Finishers, Must not lose a round or character, defeat the battle before the boss AND the actual boss with a Hyper, 4 Perfects (Capcom)

Maybe you mean Card Sagas Wars, the game I will never get to play but always wanted.

it was being made by another dude named CyberWolf or TheGuy or something

using JUS-styled sprites which included the worst DK I've ever seen in my life

I don't think it got very far but I haven't been keeping up with it

To be honest, JUS styled sprites look like garbage. Funny how everyone on the Expansion Forums kept doing characters in that style. Probably because they were lazy.

Truthfully, I don't think they look like garbage, but JUS itself is pretty bland and has aged terribly. It's another game that has a quantity over quality issue with it's content, not to mention that there probably isn't a single Shonen Jump fan totally happy with the entire roster. The sprites are kind of guilty by association.

funny enough I find myself sort of gravitating towards a pseudo-JUS style when I sprite random things

Even though I don't like JUS, I think that J-Stars Victory Versus deserved a bit more attention than it received. I don't really like it's gameplay style, either, but it's quality was far higher than it's predecessors. Once again, just my opinion.

I think the worst part about it was the facial expressions. They look terrible.

He currently goes by the name TheGuy07, and he put the project on hold to focus on real life stuff like college, work, etc. Also, he was rethinking some of the choices on his roster, mainly the Nintendo side.
