| Okay, recently I've really bee getting into Anime, however now I've caught up with Hunter X Hunter, I'm stuck with just Naruto to watch. Can anyone reccomend something decent to watch?
To give an example of the sort of show I like, I'm a big fan of Black Cat, Bleach, Death Note, Dragon Ball, Hunter X Hunter, Naruto and Shaman King. And out of those, my favorite by far is Hunter X Hunter.
There is one restriction though, I watch on a Roku, and the only Anime channel on the UK edition is CrunchyRoll, so any anime you pick has to be available there. |

You mean Neon Genesis? It's not on CrunchyRoll. Some of the popular series are Sword Art Online, Shugo Chara, Space Brothers, Eyeshield 21, Beelzebub and Cardfight Vanguard, there are others, but they either look crap or have barely any episodes. |

| Open your horizons a lot more. It is definitely worth it to watch Neon Genesis. I'd also recommend the following: - Spoiler:
Mirai Nikki - Schoolboy Amano Yuukiteru and 11 others are granted the power to know the future by God. They are forced to use their ability, kept in the form of a cellphone diary, to find and kill the others so that the last man standing can inherit God's throne as the ruler of time and space. You'll like this if you enjoyed Death Note.
To Aru Majitsu no Index - In Academy City, a boy named Kamijo Touma has a fate encounter with a magician named Index (who has committed 103,000 texts of magic to memory). He is soon caught in the middle of a war between the religious world of magic and the academic world of science, all while trying to recover from amnesia.
Elfen Lied - A subspecies of human called the Diclonius have been discovered, and test subject Lucy has escaped from a top-secret research facility off the coast of a small Japanese town while incurring severe memory loss. Kouta, now living with his cousin, finds Lucy and cares for her while she goes on gore-filled killing sprees unbeknownst to him. As Lucy regains her memories she must keep her dark secret away from Kouta in order to save his life.
Code Geass - This one may not need explanation, but it's basically about a boy named LaLouche who gains the power to make anyone obey his command without question. He uses this ability to assist a local resistance group called the Black Knights in a revolution to free Japan from the Britanian Empire, all so that he can create an ideal world for his handicapped sister and to find out the truth about his mother's assassination. Oh, and there are mechas involved.
If you are interested in ecchi/romantic comedy, check these out: - Spoiler:
To LOVE-ru - A pun on the english word "trouble", this show is about a boy named Yuuki Rito who I must say is THE luckiest bastard in the universe. As modest and humble as he is, he manages to become the fiance of princess Lala, a beautiful girl from the planet Deviluke. Since then he becomes the target of multiple assassinations since he will inherit the throne of the strongest military in the galaxy. Also a bunch of other girls in his town fall in love with him and hilarity ensues.
Sora no Otoshimono - Tomoki wishes for nothing more than a peaceful and quiet life. That is ruined when an angel-like android falls from the sky and becomes his loyal servant. As he tries to adjust to his new life, mysterious beings from the sky come down to try and kill Tomoki or take the android Ikaros back up to a strange world in the sky known only as the "New World". And lots of ecchi stuff happens all the while, I personally find this to be one of the finniest anime I've ever seen.
EDIT: Also, don't watch an anime called Boku. |

I also have tried Ecchi, and couldn't get into them. Out of the ones listed, CrunchyRoll has Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, so I'll try that. I like anything that has the British take over the world |

| The top anime I have ever watched: -Angel Beats: A story about an afterlife (which is basically a school campus) for teenagers who died before they could really make anything out of their lives. Once they accept their deaths they "disappear" from the world and are supposedly reincarnated back in the real world. If you were to die in this afterlife, you simply wake up in the nurse's office of the school several hours later. The main characters are all fighting against the "god" of this world, claiming that he unfairly took their lives and that they don't want to disappear from the world. Easily the best anime I've ever watched, 13 episodes. -Mirai Nikki: Merc explained this pretty well. 26 episodes. -Ano hi mita hana no namae wa bokutachi wa mada shiranai (AnoHana): this is hard for me to tl;dr so i'll just post the wikipedia thing: - Quote :
- A group of six childhood friends drift apart after one of them, Meiko "Menma" Honma, dies in an accident. Ten years after the incident, the leader of the group, Jinta Yadomi, has withdrawn from society and lives as a recluse. One summer day, the ghost of an older looking Menma appears before him and asks to have a wish granted, reasoning that she cannot pass on into the afterlife until it is fulfilled. Since Menma does not remember what her wish is, Jinta gathers his estranged friends together once again, believing that they are the key to resolving this problem. However, hidden feelings, internal conflicts, and lingering feelings of bitterness from Menma's parents result in complications for the group as they struggle to help not only Menma move on, but themselves as well.
11 episodes, you will probably cry at some point in the last two episodes -Mawaru-Penguindrum: Three siblings, Shoma (male), Kanba (male), and Himari Takakura (female) live alone after their parents disappeared a while back, supposedly having committed horrible crimes against humanity. They visit the aquarium one day, and quickly after Shoma buys Himari an empress penguin hat, Himari randomly collapses and dies. In the hospital, while Shoma and Kanba are fighting, Himari suddenly wakes up, apparently having her life extended by the soul inhabiting the penguin hat. She informs her brothers that if Himari is to survive her illness, they must bring her the Penguindrum. A lot of messed up stuff happens along the way. 24 episodes. -Black Rock Shooter: An anime about the character who was the base of one of the most famous Vocaloid songs. Basically there are these five girls who all "control" these other characters in an alternate dimension. The alternate dimension characters (Black Rock Shooter and the others) are embodiments of the girls' emotions, and if one is killed, the corresponding real-world character loses sense of their strongest emotions (going so far as forgetting loved ones, etc). While the main plot is going on in the real world, the events take place in their own way within the alternate dimension. 8 episodes (and one or two unrelated OVA's which came out before the full anime), seriously worth a watch. SAO is definitely worth watching too. As far as current anime goes: Tamako Market is pretty amazing (it's where Dela Mochimazzi and Mochizou came from), it's about a girl whose family runs a Mochi shop (mochi) and then a talking bird named Dela Mochimazzi shows up, claiming he hails from a far off land and is searching for a bride for his prince. Mostly shenanigans. 7 episodes so far. Sasami-san@Ganbaranai is probably the most confusing anime made in a long while. If I said much about the plot it'd take away the effect, so basically it's about a shut-in girl whose brother teaches at the school she should be going to, and her brother does literally everything to make her life as easy as possible. Except this is literally only what happens in the first episode; I'd seriously suggest at least watching through episode two or three before making a decision on this because it only really gets to the actual plot a bit later. Although I didn't like these two, they're some of the most popular anime around, so: •Gurren Lagan: -YOURS IS THE DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS -MANLY MANLY MANLINESS MANLY KAMINA SHADES MANLY -BUT WAIT BOOBS -GIANT ROBOTS -BIGGER GIANT ROBOTS -GIANT ROBOTS THAT THROW GALAXIES AT EACH OTHER•Puella Magi Madoka Magica: -High school girls -Kyubey can make one of your wishes come true and give you magical powers but you have to fight "witches" for him -Witches destroy the world -If you die or run out of power you become a witch -Some terrifying things happen?? |

in that case, you're either going to have to buy a lot of box sets (which are ridiculously expensive for most anime) or miss 99% of the best anime ever created |

ghost stories And Baccano! And Code Geass That's it. BTW Ganon, Baccano! is another I'd recommend. Really good storytelling there with multiple timelines and such. And you won't find many characters funnier than Issac and Miria. |

the original japanese is better!!!! I've seen both, and I have to say it really fits the time era and genre much more in English considering the setting is America in the early 30's. I mean, Maiza and Firo's accents are pretty damn good in the English version. |

That's it. Cowbow Bebop says hello. It's no longer licensed here in the US, though. And I assume the same applies to the other non-aisan markets. |

EDIT: Also, a quick thing about Mirai Nikki: the music is incredible. |
