Is it just me, or is that Log Horizon thing the worst anime around at the moment?

I mean it's like they took SAO, and removed all human elements and feeling from it.

I haven't watched Log Horizon yet, so I can't speak for that. As for SAO, I'll have to say that I wasn't fond of it, at all.

In my opinion, SAO completely squandered the potential of the "Players trapped in a video game" concept in favor of one-shots that aren't really worth caring about, and a poor romance between two boring lead characters. Not to mention that its attempts to examine the human condition within a life or death game almost always came off as trying too hard to pull the viewers' emotional strings.

At the moment, I'm really digging Samurai Flamenco.

But honestly, do not even try Log Horizon, I watched the pilot, and there is literally no emotion to the show. Plus it's nonsensical from what I saw. At least SAO had reasons for the events, the game in LH isn't even VR, it just suddenly becomes real for no reason. Not only that, but nobody seems to even care, "Hey we're trapped in a virtual world, let's wander around a moan about the quality of the food rather than our dire predicament".
