On a side note, there are actually a few more characters being included that PH4 and I got info on from the developers, though we're sworn to secrecy as to who they are. I am so hyped for this I can't wait to play my true melee mains in P:M!

I'm pretty sure I know one of those "hidden characters" Mercury brought up thanks to a certain someone.

Pichu will have to be in for sure, i haven't heard anything about it yet though. Some other characters i have heard about, not all great choices lol. Apparently they have a problem with their limited work team making whoever the heck they want and pushing their bias characters into the game (sounds familiar somehow...)

I like the Final Cutter change, it's like a reference to the Quick Draw minigames. Samus came out excellent imo, and white pikmin could have exploded upon death to make more sense since they are poisonous when consumed and something like that would reference it.
Also about the secret roster, I will say that the characters being included are supposed to be characters that already appeared in smash games in some shape or form, mostly trophies, assist trophies or stickers. I can't say for certain that they will stick to this, and even with a hint like that there are still countless possibilities. I also know they intend to only include 7 extra characters in total including Roy and Mewtwo, so that's 5 totally new ones all together. that said I only know two of those characters for sure, and one of them is still a WIP so they're tentative at best.
EDIT: I should also mention that, as always, everything I know about 3.0 and what I shared with you all is subject to change at any time and I won't have a way to find more info from here on out since the source PH4 and I got all of this from was apparently not supposed to tell us all of that. I wonder why that would be the case...

Mercury, a lot of that they already said when they revealed Roy. :laugh:
One big thing that was said though was that they are planning on keeping any new characters strictly Nintendo. So no Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, etc.
