| Currently there is a rule that no one is allowed to suggest characters that haven't appeared on a Nintendo Console.
Personally I think this is an incredibly stupid rule, and i'm looking to abolish it.
This is a Smash Bros. Fangame, and it's meant to be a tribute to all gaming. It isn't like we have a budget, so we would be able to go as crazy as we want.
So if you want, please state your opinion about it through the comments below. |

| I will have to vote no.
We have lots of obscure choices which are not drawing much support. Bringing in the non-relevancy kinda brings in more of that imo.

| I personally don't believe that characters have to have nintendo relevancy, so I guess I vote yes? I'm fine with it either way really. |

| I say yes. Half of the fun of any fan fighting game is pitting your favorite characters against each other, and with all of these limits to who can be in, that's really disappointing. |

| I say yes also, a game is fun when you are playing with your favourite characters. |

It's not a tribute to "all gaming" or we would have made a very different fighting game. This is a clear and obvious tribute to Super Smash Bros., which in turn is a tribute to Nintendo and Nintendo alone. The Nintendo mash-up game is meant to be just that, and we destroy any image of that by bringing in an excess of outside fighters. Our current system could not be any more perfect, allowing only a select few exceptions for the absolute most popular; Goku, Dante, Master Chief, Wreck-it Ralph, and Mickey Mouse. There should not be any more under any circumstance as far as i'm concerned. |

| Well, your vision of a fangame for smash bros. mine are very different.
It's a fangame, we shouldn't even have such limits. Having limits ruins some of the fun its supposed to be about. Limits are only where the ability of the game creators end. |

That is more of an opinion right there. There is usually a line drawn somewhere with things to avoid doing too much on certain things. |

| I don't know what my opinion is. On one side without limits we could have some cool characters, but if we don't have limits we will also get stupid characters like chuck norris. But I guess we can just vote off any stupid characters that might come up, so I guess I vote yes. |

| why don't we make a poll to have a PS rep as well. This way we could have one rep for each of the three major gaming companies.
1. Nintendo 2. Sony 3. Microsoft |

| Just so you know, we don't HAVE to use any character suggested
Obviously completely looney choices like Chuck probably wont get in, but at least youd be allowed to suggest them XD |

| Actually, a stupid, obscure character (ex: NSAF or some obscure 1st or 3rd party) are not really eligible to be cut. Since they are not taking away any room on the poll or holding back any better candidates, then there is no purpose of holding such a poll. If they were holding back a rep from a similar series, then that is a different story.
Also, isn't it ironic that the author of this thread complains of this issue, yet never posted a single vote since it started in 2011?
@Giga: no, something like Chuck Norris can't be suggested. He isn't a gaming character with gaming origins.

| That is because I never decided on who I wanted.
It's like you think saying that is going to hurt my case or something. |

It's like you think saying that is going to hurt my case or something. Not even Fawful & Anna, in which you spoken freely as candidates you favor. |

| I'm just going to say this. Any character(s) from the internet like Nostalgia Critic, Angry Video Game Nerd, and Game Grumps should not be in. We already have Weegee. |

| People will be able to vote for anything, so if there's a truly stupid suggestion it will get bashed.
But, at least if this poll ends in yes, you will have the chance to suggest anything you want. |

| Here is the thing.
If this poll was to get support, it only eliminates one thing, that is non-Nintendo relevancy. Which is mainly what its suggesting on the OP.
It doesn't eliminate the suggestion of non-gaming characters. Though, a non-gaming character can get in the poll if it was supported to replace Mickey Mouse through Candidate Cut Poll. Meaning only 1 non-gaming character can exist on the poll. Anything more than 1 violates the current rules of Suggestion Poll.
