| I'm curious as to what games you've all found to be much easier or harder when you come back to them after a long period of time. Here's an example: For christmas this year I bought myself Kirby's Dreamland for 3DS (virtual console originally published on Gameboy in 1992). Even as a child, this game was pretty easy. I only got it for the nostalgia, and whizzed through the game in less than 15 minutes. But after the credits (which I never watched as a kid) I discovered the imput to enable hard mode at the title screen. Suddenly the game became extremely difficult, the final boss fight with King Dedede alone took about an hour of repeated attempts to complete. If anyone has the game and wants to try it out themselves the imput at the title screen is Up+A+Select, then "Extra Mode" appears on the screen. Press start to begin. So what kinds of games have you all played for nostalgia that were much harder or easier than you remember? |

| I remember playing my friend's Kirby's Dream Land 2 and I thought that was difficult.
I just played it a few weeks ago on Dream Collection, and it is far easier than I remember (then again, I've got more Kirby experience since I first played it) aside from hunting for the Rainbow Drops and fighting Dedede and Dark Matter.
Also, trying to get all the treasures on Wario Land 3 is tougher than I remember. How in the Hell was I able to do it before, when I was a child, no less? |

| Super Mario Bros. 3 and Zelda II. I'm not as good as use to be with those.

| I remember beating LEGO Racers when I was younger
Now when I tried to play it again I couldn't get past Basil the Batlord (3rd boss out of like, 6).

| Disney's Hercules on PC/PSone
As a kid, I couldn't get past the centaur in Level 3, played it a couple months ago and beat the whole game in one sitting with no Game Overs. |

| Megaman Battle Netwok (the first one) was impossible when I was little, now I'm playing it again and it's still difficult. Just a lot less difficult than before.
Also I only just started playing the original Metroid for NES, and I just know if I played it as a kid I would be crying right now. |

| Super Mario 64 DS. I can't believe I used to have a hard time with the King Bob-omb rematch, and getting all of the coins on every stage. |

| Most games are relativity easy now. When I was younger, Paper Mario, Fire Emblem, and Final Fantasy were harder because I didn't know what strategy meant, I would just contently attack, but now I do so its easier. |

| Wario Woods and Pokemon Puzzle League were hard as balls when I was a lad. Now, they're nothing I can't handle.
Mario 1 and 3 remain as hard as ever. |

Lol, I discovered hard mode as a kid, but couldn't get past Whispy Woods. Recently I've played the game again, and suddenly I'm able to speed through Hard Mode with one life and one health point (config mode). I personally find that strategy games have the biggest difference. You tend to develop much stronger strategic skills into your adolescence. |
