APEX 2013: The inclusion of Petey Pirahna?

Apparently during the 2013 APEX livestream of Smash Bros Crusade: Petey Pirahna actually made it into the game with actual Gameplay footage. However, Petey was never included in the finalized roster

Now this isn't a butthurt or a rage topic of mines but I'd like to ask why such inclusion was made when it was never confirmed in the first place? Also, wouldn't creating new characters like this slow down the progress on getting the full roster done because there's no direct focus on it then?

I really have nothing to argue here but it did caught me off-guard so feel free to discuss the inclusion of Petey Pirahna in SSBC and whether or not you feel okay with having him in the roster now

He was the only character from the original roster of Crusade that wasn't currently in the game.

one thing i do know is that petey was finished in the spring of 2012 as a side project by our dynamic spriting-coding duo of gigapichu and jaklub, as i was present at the moment of completion

i can't speak for anything else

I am perfectly okay with his inclusion.
Odd ball fighter.
Received positive reception at APEX.
Fun to play.
Best taunt in the game by far.
I just wish I was able to play him again sooner.

Hmm, look at the day 1 part 1 livestream. There should be some gameplay of him near the beginning.
