EDIT: I saw a picture of the Villager with boxing gloves, seems like a new item to me. I suppose this is evidence of Lil Mac.

Also, Villager looks OP, and Megaman looks pretty solid as well. Gonna wait and see just how they play as a whole. Glad that the game appears to be faster than Brawl, at the very least.

Yeah... the wrong page got loaded, and only saw people talking about how only two characters were revealed. XD

And that much is most likely true. Reverses projectiles, can cause pitfalls, and that bowling ball...

Something tells me Megaman's matchup for him might be troublesome, even if Megaman looks like his ground and air game are good. ;~;

Well, Sakurai confirmed that he will be showing images of SSB4 5 days a week on the Smash Bros MiiVerse community. I wonder if the same thing applies for the Smash Bros website

Here's an in-depth look of the gameplay, it's in Japanese but you get the idea. Specifically we get a good look at how Villager, Mega Man and Wii Fit Trainer work too which will be handy for Crusade (Assuming we are using them)

Sorry for double post, but there is a new English version of that video I posted.




Other than the explanation of how the characters work, the key thing is this statement. "The number of character in both versions will be the same". Not the same roster, the same number of characters. So if as speculated the Villager and Wii Fit Trainer are exclusive then it means that the 3DS will be getting exclusives too.

I am... so excited... for this game.

Also, it seems the general reaction amongst people in various forum-like outlets I've seen hate the idea of Wii Fit Girl yet say nothing about R.O.B.

I'm pretty excited to see how well she plays. I enjoy a good gimmick character.

Yeah, I am sure she will "fit" in well with every other character. She will burn calories and help everyone on the roster become healthier with her yoga moves. It makes perfect sense as to why Nintendo wanted her in, because Wii Fit was one of the most popular titles on the Wii. Not only that, but her moveset seems pretty cool!

R.O.B. shouldn't have been in brawl, he didn't fit in very well and he was way too OP with the final smash.

So don't expect many third-party characters, three at maximum I'd say. Also, it's important to note that he confirmed there will be no console exclusive characters, so those rumours about Villager and WFT are deconfirmed.

Ugh! Reading that bit made it feel like being hit by a harpoon right in your kidneys... Hopefully there will be a miracle that avoids the worst cuts that could happen. However, from now on. I would mostly feel worried rather than hyped. Which is not fun..

But at least it's good to know that it's fully confirmed that tripping and character exclusives won't be there. So at least there is some good out of it.

To me this sounds more like the quality of the characters, not the roster size.

Take into account, reducing the number of characters doesn't make a lot of sense. Brawl's
uncompressed ISO was 6.93GB in size, with the majority of that given to cut-scenes from The Subspace Emissary. Where as the maximum cartridge data limit for 3DS cartridges is confirmed to be 8GB. As far as the rendering of models goes, the Wii is definitely more powerful than the 3DS. This makes me assume he meant reducing, contextually referring to the gameplay itself, rather than the size of game data.
