TF2 Megathread

We have enough TF2 players I figure it deserves its own topic.

So, the new Fall Crates have been released, so I'm guessing that you'll have to buy the Keys for them at a later date. I hope they'll be like the Festive items, and not just random new items that you'll be able to get in drops two weeks later. If they are exclusive weapons I'll probably set my cap at 7 Crates.

If they are weps it is probably a good investment, I sold some of my Strange Festive weapons for Buds each in March.

According to the wiki a fall crate contains community items, only the Robro 3000 has been confirmed though.

I'd like to ask a question: how much have you guys spent on TF2 (lreal money)?

Not sure, when I'm playing it actively I tend to limit myself to 1 Key a week, but I don't actively play very often (Mainly during events). I also have opened a fair few event crates, I'd say about 17 seems like a reasonable guess, and I bought a Team Captain when it was on sale, and a few of the Class Starter Packs mainly for the hats.

I've probably bought more than most though, but it is spread over a good length of time and I do moderate, to stop myself going crazy.

Well I can only add funds to my account with a steam card, and the least expensive one I can get my hands on is $20.

I was wondering if I overspent, since I've already spent all of it on TF2.

Less than $5.

Found one of them funky Fall Crates in a drop today. Wonder what I should do with it. Better do something, cause it disappears on the 20th.

Can't do anything until they release the Fall Keys.

But I wouldn't go for it. It's going to be full of community items, so they won't be worth more than a Key. The RoBro might, but that's because it's so awesome, it still won't be much over a Key.

Obviously it's better than a normal Crate, but not by much.

I meant that I've seen some fall crates going for like, a refined on trade servers. I'm contemplating either selling it or trying my luck on opening it.

Sell it, sell it and laugh as the guy opens it for a Craft Hat that will be worth a Ref in a couple days and will never be worth a Key+1 Ref.

I unboxed 2 fall crates,

got the track terrorizer and the demoman beard (forgot it's name).

Not too bad, but no kitty ):

I unboxed one, got the new Heavy hat with the moustache.

Ah man that's another one I want.

Looking it up, it seems like the Track Terrorizer goes for 4-5 keys. I may trade around to get the kitty and/or the Soviet gentleman (think that's its name).

Here is my plan:

I have 3 fall keys.
When I can trade them (Monday), I will trade 1 away. I will use this to buy 2 fall crates. (1 fall key goes for 1.5-2 keys, so this should be enough).

I shall open the two crates.

And I will hopefully get a kitty.

You could get 2 Fall Crates for 1 normal Key easily.

Damn, I unboxed a second crate yesterday, and I got a Pocket Purrer.

It would be great, but I traded my Heavy hat for one a few days ago...

Maybe you could try to trade your second one for another Heavy hat.

Also, do any of you guys use TF2 Warehouse? Idunno if I can trust it.
