Just saw this, I seriously cannot wait!
The idea of a Mega Kyogre fills me with such glee, though he'll wreck in the Ubers for sure because Drizzle would have already activated before he changes forms.
As for other potential Mega's, from Hoenn I'd love to see Ludicolo, Shiftry, Slaking, Sableye, Sharpedo, Wailord, Altaria and Metagross would all be fantastic, plus there's the idea of Kalos Mega's which would probably be Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, Furfrou, Aegislash, Hawlucha, Klefki, Noivern and Zygarde.
R/S/E is easily my favorite generation, so I'm so psyched!

im gonna have to sadly agree with jak
it says 'epic NEW adventure' which may mean it isn't the actual remake everyone has wanted

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
It'll probably have differences to incorporate Mega Evolutions, but I have no doubt it'll be the same basic story.
I guess we'll have to wait until E3 to get the first look though.

If it IS a sequel I wouldn't mind honestly
We've all played R/S/E it would be nice to have bad guys that aren't extreme environmentalists

Watch Mega Kyogre have the ability Dry Skin. Oh the Pokémanity!
@SP: A full sequel would be amazing.

I wouldn't mind a sequel but from what I'm reading it doesn't appear to be a completely different storyline
Edit: yeah no "The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world."

Following its reveal yesterday, there has been some question as to the actual content of Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, as to whether they're remakes or new versions due to the wording of the announcement. During the Investor Briefing today, Satoru Iwata confirmed that Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are full-remakes of the 2002 releases, Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire. We'll bring more on these games as it comes
The idea of a sequel was nice while it lasted, but Iwata just confirmed it to be a remake. I'm still so excited over it, can't wait to see more.

the only thing with that is how would it work if multiple people had bases in the same place
I think I remember that the people you linked with in R/S/E bases would appear in your game, and iirc you could battle them
I could easily oh so easily see that being implemented into street pass or friends list somehow

I've never played the Hoenn games, so this'll be interesting to get in to.
I just hope that they patch X/Y with any new Mega Evos that show up in the game. Because if they don't I will be royally angry.

Yeah, if they planned to patch new stuff in they wouldn't have added Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Mega Latias and Mega Latios straight into the game.

A couple of small updates have come out too, the first footage is going to be shown this weekend on that Japanese Pokémon chatshow thing. Also the Groudon and Kyogre in the boxart aren't just stylized, they are alternate versions of the two. The don't really look like Mega's to me but they probably are.

Do you think Ken Sugimori is going to update the artwork for the Gen 3 pokemon?

I honestly can't believe I wasn't the only one thinking about this Knowing how it's played out in previous generations, probably.

So, many people sat through - quoting a guy from the YouTube comments - "watching a japanese guy take a bath and get butt slapped", among other things, for this new footage.

Slowly remembering everything about Gen 3 and imagining it in 3D
I'm getting goosebumps
I'm wondering how/if they'l incorporate things from Pokémon Emerald, like if Magma/Aqua will both be bad or if one will be bad and one will be good like in the originals
I also hope they scrap Wallace as champion and put him back as 8th gym leader

maybe Wallace will be gym leader in Ruby but champion in Sapphire or something
or maybe there will be an Emerald remake too

If this is a full on Ruby/Sapphire remake and not Emerald then we can be sure that Wallace will be the 8th gym leader and Steven will be the champion.
