| well i know modding can be done without this being official so whatever , the only ones that can decide this is the dev team that probably wont make this official i am just said if this gets official may have a great potential |

i thought that you wanted more content this idea is to add more content(thats main point) no to remove it whats the point of removing crusade devs effort thats why figths happen when content is replace or remove completely , as said i dont know if this will happen official (even modders will add custom content anyway as previously in brawl) if this come to be possible i think we should discuss this after the full release well what read from the crusade dev called Super Smash Bros Crusade he didnt denied this just pointed out that its annoying that people add their custom content before full released so we should defintely discuss after full released |

Although maybe the creators of Crusade could work on an engine? Idk. |

Not just for custom colors, it could be like MUGEN, people create and share character's they make for the engine and everyone gets to see their favorite characters in Smash. It could become really big, and can make the creation of SSB fangames much easier. |

| That's actually not a bad idea. The only thing is that I'm sure almost everyone here would want to see crusade to completion and IDK how the devs would feel about making another smash game after crusade, when crusade is already taking as long as it is. |

| I remember someone mentioning colors here, and let me say something: You actually CAN make your own custom color for most characters. There's a folder called "Fighters" in the Crusade folder, and inside that is a bunch of folders with the characters names. most of them have image files named "PALETTE00-07" which can be edited manually to create your own custom colors, and, to a lesser extent, custom characters. In my version, I have a more obvious Charizard Ridley, Shadow Weegee, and Shadow Waluigi |

| I think I'm the only person in this thread who actually knows what OP was talking about back in 2012. There was this really simplistic Smash Brothers Fangame that was supposed to be an NES demake. There was a custom character system, but it could only load one custom character at a time, so you couldn't have customs fight each other. Most people just played it for the single player Adventure mode, because the mechanics and stages were really simplistic for the multiplayer/smash mode.
I used to make content for the game, and figured out how to tweak move properties based on how many frames of animation you used. I did mostly Capcom characters, I was actually working on Crash Man very shortly before I stopped being active in that game's community. Like, I once logged back in years later and saw a private message from someone asking me for help on their custom character.
It's a really bad old game that I spent way too much time on. EDIT: It's from like....2009, maybe even earlier, and the old forum is actually still up. I think it's mostly people complaining that the official download links are all dead. |
