| Wondering if we have any fans of the Arma games. I am considering buying Arma 3 as it's just $30 for the alpha right now, and from what I have read and seen, it is well worth the purchase. |

| I'l wondering this too, I have ARMA II in my Steam Inventory at the moment, but I'm waiting for a big PC upgrade to come through so I can really put it through it's paces. |

| Let me know if it's a system eater, I need one to test the frames per second. |

| Well, the tests won't be entirely accurate as optimizations are inevitable seeing as it's just in alpha testing, I believe I saw someone say on the forums that next week there will be an update. Anyways, it is quite a system eater. I get an average of 40 FPS on all "Standard" settings without any AA. My specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k @ 4.0GHz GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB RAM: 16GB On a side note, it is so smooth in comparison to Arma II. I haven't yet played multiplayer as I am waiting on my friend, but I was messing around in the single-player missions |

| I can expect less than that then, I got a GeForce GTX 660 going in, which is a little less powerful. I should still be able to do it though. |

| My friend has a GTX 660 TI and an i7-3770k (which isn't much faster than mine when it comes to gaming, if I remember correctly, and his isn't overclocked) and he appears to get better FPS.
When I am getting bad FPS he says it's running smoothly when we are on the same settings. It's possible that I detect slight changes more than him and just have higher standards for "lag", but I don't know.
Also, I turned everything to Ultra (except AA, I always leave that off, and post processing which is mainly motion blur, which I turn to normal) and I get an average of 40, I get around 25-40 in big towns and then 40+ outside of towns and bases. It's odd, cause I was actually getting a little worse FPS while playing on all "Standard" settings, lol. |
